Alpaca is one of the main raw materials used in the development of ITESSA product range
Alpaca fiber is highly valued in the world for its unique characteristics for the textile industry. It is distinguished from other natural fibers for its softness, silkiness, delicacy and shine, in addition to its wide variety of colors.
The best Alpaca fibers are found in the central zone of the Andes Mountains; more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Peru is the leading producer of Alpaca fiber, with more than 85% of world production. Alpacas feed on Icchu, which is a natural grass that grows only at that height.
